Adding users is a daily routine in a VOIP billing software such as Smartbilling.

Users can be added under different roles that in turn enjoy different permission levels. It’s always recommended to settle for the least power for any given user. Human error is a reality and deleting or posting invoices by mistake can have devastating consequences.

Typically the user name is customer’s email address. Using email simplifies the process and makes the user name easy to remember but you can always pick other permissible strings for this purpose.

In Smartbilling we can determine if the newly-created user can have external access over VPN or not. Also what department she belongs to and if she is a manager of that department.

A user can be active or not.

Deleting users is not a good idea. Deactivate them instead, so in case the User Name needs to be revived it can be done effortlessly. Smartbilling provides ease of use for any typical Telecom BSS/OSS, so it’s important that users are trained on such details.

Every mature IoT Billing Software, Saas Billing Platform, or similar system features such details and knowing them makes the difference between smooth operations on one hand, and slow and messy work on the other hand.
